(Slightly) Disappointing May Products

Good afternoon lovelies! For much of the summer I will be posting in the afternoon as my internship goes until noon so look for me on your feeds in the afternoon!

A lot of people liked my disappointing products post last month sooo let’s dive in to this month’s disappointing products!

The first one was really sad to name disappointing because I expected it to be so great. It is the Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt spray. I’ve tried other products from this brand that I liked but this one did squat for my hair. You’re supposed to spray and comb through or scrunch your hair but nothing worked. My hair just ended up looking brittle and messy…NO BUENO!

The next product (or products I guess) is the Soo Ae Collagen masks (I also tried the honey mask but threw the bag out…oopsies!) You all know how much I love face masks…these ones were so weird. They didn’t do anything for my face and they all smelled so horrible. I could barely keep any of them on my face for 15 minutes, I could not stand them!

Finally is the Pacifica eyeshadow trio (not sure of the exact name). Like the masks, this was from Ipsy this month. My only real qualm with this guy is the sad color pigmentation. There’s a beautiful pearly white shade that I was so excited about but there is no color payoff. Thanks no thanks, Ipsy!

Tell me some of your (slightly) disappointing products for this month!

Thanks for reading, my loves 🙂 til next time

  2. I haven’t tried any of the Not Your Mother products before but I had been eyeing it up for a while, but I won’t buy it now! I have found that other sea salt sprays aren’t very good either!

    1. Ya it’s hard to find a good sea salt spray

      1. definitely is! I even tried making my own back in the day and that didn’t work either! Think it’s easier to just go to sleep in braids to achieve that messy wave look!

      2. When I do that my hair gets frizzy so that’s out of the question for me hahaha

      3. so does mine to be honest but I think I’d rather deal with the frizz than the crispy brittle texture salt spray gives me haha!

Wet N Wild contour palette was a big bust. The contour shade oxidized where my nose pieces for my glasses touched my nose and turned the skin red. :/
