Inside Look: Urban Decay Electric Pressed Pigment Palette

Hello beauties!

So I know this is not a new palette but hey its new to me so let’s check it out!

Let me start off by saying that this palette is meant to be a face and body palette, not just for eyes. In fact, three shades are not eye safe in the US (but they are everywhere else which I find weird). But I’m still going to be playing with all the shades.

I mean…look at that pigmentation! Urban Decay had to use some special colorants to make these shades so vibrant and pigmented.

What I love about this palette is how fun these shades are. They can definitely brighten up any makeup look but also be paired with neutral eyeshadows and still look amazing!

And of course, the palette comes with a double-ended brush. I personally love the brushes that come with Urban Decay palettes…they’re just so handy if you take the palette on the go!

So overall my first impression of this palette is…WOW! I’ve never seen more pigment and I’m all about the bright crazy colors. I cannot wait to dip into this palette and show you guys some fun looks.

The Urban Decay Electric Pressed Pigment Palette is $49 and is currently only available on their website. I ordered it from Sephora but it is now out of stock and Ulta has been out of it for a while now.

I hope everyone goes and gets this palette…time to get creative everyone!

Thanks for reading, my loves 🙂 til next time

I have this and love it. Which shades aren’t safe for eyes? I use them all on my eyes lol

    1. I think Urban, Jilted, and one other one. But I’m not sure why they’re not eye safe. So as long as they all work for you, I’ll use them all on my eyes haha

  4. I absolutely adore this palette you can create such good looks with it! the only thing I’ve found is that some of the colours can stain your lids a little bit so make sure you use primer!

    1. Ya I used it today and honestly the shades that are not eye safe don’t irritate my eyes like I though they would. Hope you love yours!

This looks like something you can use for Halloween, too. I can’t use Urban Decay. If I could, I wanted to swatch them to see how it looks on me. I think I’d look like a clown, though if I use it as makeup. Looks cool to use for body art.

    1. Girl you could definitely rock this palette! I was afraid it’s be too bright and crazy even for me but I tried it today and it’s fun to add to some neutral shadows

Cool. I wish I could try it. They come out with interesting palettes. But their eyeliners and eyeshadows I have tried have irritated my eyes :/

Yeah, their’s and Kat Von d are two of my favorites that I can’t use. But I’ve been trying to use more drugstore brands these days. I’m also trying not to spend but failing at that.

      4. Have you tried NYX products? They’re really cheap but high quality!

Actually just bought my first Nyx products today! I posted a blog on it. I have been wanting to try it for years and never purchased any until today.

      6. Ooh I’ll go look at that post! I really hope you like it because that’s one of my favorite drugstore brands. Really amazing products for such a good price so you don’t feel guilty about spending so much money

Yes! I’m very happy I purchased them. I bought one of each collection- mat lipstick, soft matte lip cream, and two of Nyx butter lipsticks.

      8. Those are all great formulas! I also love their liquid suede lipsticks (if you like liquid lipsticks)

I am just getting used to the liquid lipsticks. Seems I can tolerate wearing the cream or lip paint types but the matte ones I have a hard time getting used to of because of its drying effects. That’s for all companies. The Nyx one didn’t feel drying too quickly though. But after one hour it started drying. It’s tolerable at least. I may try that one. Was having a hard time picking a color in that one. I can’t open products and try them, that makes it hard.

I do like the soft liquid matte cream lipstick in Copenhagen! I only wore it for three hours. Still, it didn’t feel badly drying and the color did show some fading on the inside but it didn’t look terrible. I think I could have worn it for another hour or two before needing to add more… But I might try that one tomorrow morning just to see how long it really last. 😀

      12. That one is a beautiful shade! I haven’t had any issue with any NYX lipsticks drying my lips out plus they don’t stay wet on my lips (I can’t stand that feeling…I want my lipsticks to be dry but not drying).

Usually within one hour or so my lips will feel dry even with the lip paints I have tried before. I mostly just look to see if it still feels comfortable or do I feel dry patchy flakes enough that I need to remove it like Anastasia and Stila liquid lipsticks have done. Those don’t last long on me at all. Stila is a bit better than Anastasia’s for me, though. Soft matte lip cream didn’t stay wet it dried to a matte finish. It did feel weird because it felt like nothing was on my lips. I’m used to of feeling a smooth, creamy, or velvety texture on my lips.

      14. Ya Anastasia has done that for me before too. And ya I can’t deal with that feeling on my lips. I have to have them be completely dry because then I can eat and drink without worrying about the lipstick fading 😊

I did notice on my straw the shade had transferred a tiny bit. When you wear them and drink does it ever transfer a little bit?

        Liked by 1 person

      16. The soft matte lip creams do transfer sadly. But most liquid lipsticks I own do not

Oh ok. A tiny bit isn’t that bad. I kinda want to buy more, but not sure what colors would be good for me. I see so many reds and pinks more than burgundys, mauve, berry’s I’m used to wearing.

      18. You could definitely rock a red lip! I have the soft matte lip cream in the shade Monte Carlo and it’s a beautiful bright red

I feel like the bright reds would be something for special occasions. And it would be out of my comfort zone. But it would be fun to try Nyx’s. I have tried Katy Kat crimson red and I kind of like it.

      20. I think anyone can rock red lips anytime! And I have a feeling Monte Carlo would look amazing on you!

Thanks. I’ll have to try that one. I’m open to trying new shades. Sometimes I surprise myself and like the shades I think are too much. With work though I feel weird wearing certain colors because I work with kids.

  9. I actually asked one of the girls at Sephora about the shades labeled not safe for eyes. She said that because of the amount of glitter in those shades they’re not safe for the water line or anywhere they can actually get in the eye. But are safe for lids.
