Makeup Brush Guide: Concealer

If you missed the first part of this new miniseries, go check it out here!

For part two of this series, we’re going to talk about concealer brushes. Now for a while I used the Ecotools sponge brush and I still think it is amazing (I will list it down below as a good alternative). But then I tried the beauty blender for concealer and my life changed.

Similar to the sponge brush, you bounce it to blend on your face. For concealer, the beauty blender is a dream come true! It blends beautifully and also has the pointed tip, which can really blend in those nooks and crannies.

For concealer around my brows, I use a brush I got from Amazon a year ago. It’s not a name brand but it does the trick. The brush itself has smaller bristles, which is perfect for concealer around smaller areas.

Bottom line is: if you want to use a brush, go for one with smaller bristles so you can really blend it out. If you want a sponge, beauty blender all the way! It’ll make your face look so smooth.

If you’re looking for some cheap concealer brushes, go check these ones out:

  • Real Techniques 102 Triangle Concealer Brush – $14.99 at Ulta
  • Ecotools Foam Applicator Brush – $6.99 at Ulta
  • Urban Decay The Finger Brush – $26 at Sephora
  • Sigma Beauty F70 Concealer Brush – $15 at Sigma Beauty

Thanks for reading, my loves šŸ™‚ til next time

  1. The best “concealer” brush I’ve ever used was one that came in a cheap set and was actually labeled as a lip brush. The bristles are short and a little stiff, which makes it perfect for precise concealing work

    1. Yes! Those are some of the best! I think shorter bristles work great for detailed concealing.
